Darren P. Foltin

POTTSVILLE- Darren P. Foltin, 47, of Pottsville, passed away Thursday evening at his home. Born in Lebanon, PA he was the son of the late Albert Foltin, who passed away in 1990, and Joanne Gassert Foltin, who passed away February 2013. Darren was a 1983 graduate of Pottsville High School. During his high school years Darren worked at Westwood Lanes, bowling alley. Darren was previously employed by Colonial Hills Bowl, Inc., of Sinking Spring, for many years. Most recently Darren owned and operated Foltin Music Center , Pottsville, with his son Stephen. He was the bass player for the former band, Section 8. He was a member of Saint Patrick’s Church, Pottsville. Darren is survived by his loving wife , Patricia “Trish” Gavalis Foltin, of Pottsville, to whom he celebrated 26 years of marriage on March 14th; his two sons, Stephen T., his girlfriend Kendra, and Matthew M. Foltin, both of Pottsville; his sister, Melanie Cappuccio, of Myerstown, PA; his father-in-law, Gary Tokanets, companion of Dee Whery, of Eagle Rock, PA; many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Patrick’s Church, 4th & Mahantongo Street, Pottsville. Family and friends may call on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. til 8:00 P.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Streets, Pottsville, and on Tuesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass in Saint Patrick’s Chapel, located on the lower level of the church. Graveside interment services will follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville.
