RED LION – Darlene Rae (Warner) Witmer, 69, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13, 2014. She was the wife of Donald W. Witmer to whom she would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 27, 2014. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 20, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Rev. Thomas R. Osenbach officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 PM Thursday and 9-10:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born January 11, 1945 in York a daughter of the late Raymond and Marie (Warner) Warner, she worked in the Imaging Dept. at York Hospital for 46 years where she just retired in the beginning of June. Darlene enjoyed time outdoors taking care of her animals and flower gardens. She touched the lives of may people, always doing for others. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Witmer is survived by three children, Ronald Witmer and wife April of New Bridgeville, Robin Tompkins and husband Paul of Red Lion, and Rana Saulisbury and husband Randy of West York; eight grandchildren, Donaven and girlfriend Jen, Tyler, Amber, Tim, Kyla, Olivia, Randeah, and Emylee; two great grandchildren, Donaven, Jr. and Mason; a brother, Darrell Warner and wife Delores of Dallastown; and sister, Doreen Snyder and husband Roger of Railroad; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Warner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
