WRIGHTSVILLE - Darlene Mae (Shoff) Howe, 65, died on Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Hospice of Lancaster County. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service. Born on January 20, 1948 in Lower Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Raymond D. and Grace R. (Shaw) Shoff. Darlene was a cook for Colonial Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for 18 years until her retirement. Darlene loved to read, enjoyed watching TV and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Darlene is survived by one son, Benjamin Pala and his wife, Nicole of Northern Cambria; one daughter, Latricia Pala and her companion, James Miller of Wrightsville; six grandchildren, Victoria, Katlyn and Alexis McAnnaney and Serenity, Teagan and Taylee Pala; four sisters, Charlotte Etters of York, Theda Jacobs and her husband, Dale of York, Teressa Dillman of York and Joyce Johnson and her companion, Scott Kurtz of York; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Eugene, Sherwood, Leon, Dean, Wilmer and Donald Shoff. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604 in remembrance of Darlene.
