Darlene M. (Lightner) Wolf

THOMASVILLE- Darlene M. (Lightner) Wolf, 72, of Jackson Township, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Manor Care Health Services North in York. She was the wife of Dale R. Wolf. The couple celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on December 24, 2013. Mrs. Wolf was born in York on February 6, 1941, the daughter of the late Archie Lightner, Sr. and Hazel (Gotwalt) Lightner. She had a great love for her cats. Mrs. Wolf leaves a daughter, Sandy L. Shoffner and her fiancée Gordon Myers of York; two grandchildren, Heather A. Duncan of Mount Wolf and Stacy S. Gilbert of York; five great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy DuCat of Asheville, NC and Linda L. Dillow of York; a son-in-law, Michael Shoffner of York; and a niece Joann Harris of Westminster, MD and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Archie Lightner, Jr. Services will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements.
