Darlene Catherine (Cramer) Crouse

COGAN STATION - Darlene Catherine (Cramer) Crouse, 63, died on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Gate House at Divine Providence, Williamsport. Darlene was born on October 5, 1947 in Shirleysburg and was the daughter of the late Clarence Wesley and Betty Romaine (Wertz) Cramer. She was a 1965 graduate of Southern Huntingdon County High School and attended the Eastern Nazarene College. On December 12, 1992, she married Robert Lewis Bob Crouse, Jr., who survives, and celebrated 18 years as husband and wife. She had worked as an accountant at James Armstrong, United Way and Pickelner Fuel Co. and was a cashier at Wal-Mart. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church, Williamsport and enjoyed reading, music, cats and ceramics. In addition to her husband Bob, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Jerry R. and Brenda Knee of S. Williamsport, three step-sons and daughters-in-law; Michael J. and Patricia Crouse of Mt. Joy, Richard M. and Susan Crouse of Biglerville and Thomas R. and Veronica Crouse of Montoursville, one step-daughter and son-in-law; E. Barbara and Paul Barrett of Hughesville, two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and two sisters and brothers-in-law; Esther M. E. and William Smith of S. Williamsport and Shelby J. and Stanley Dunmire of Three Springs. There will be a public viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at the New Hope United Methodist Church, 1157 N. Market St, Williamsport and again from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the church where the funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Charles P. Johnson, Reverend Louis Gatti and Reverend Mark Brumbach will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church or to Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 3200 Lycoming Creek Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701. Arrangements are being handled by the Allen and Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport.
