Windsor—Darla G. (Reichard) McSwine, 66, passed away peacefully at her residence, Tuesday, March 30, 2010. She was the wife of Barry E. McSwine, with whom she celebrated 36 years of marriage on July 19, 2009. A celebration of life service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with her pastor, the Rev. James Levkulich, officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m., to 1 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born January 24, 1944 in Chanceford Township, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Ethel (Cordrey) Reichard. She was employed with General Dynamics as a machine operator for 26 years, until her retirement in 2006. An active member of Windsor Assembly of God, she also loved taking care of her family and enjoyed attending yard sales. In addition to her husband, Mrs. McSwine is survived by four children, Chip P. Kauffman of Walkersville, MD, Beth A. Kuhn of Red Lion, Timothy W. Kauffman of Red Lion and David W. McSwine of Windsor, three step-children, Wayne E. McSwine of Brownsville, ME, Donna J. Armstrong of Harleysville, and Tina M. Bailey of Thomasville, 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, two brothers, Alan Reichard of E. Prospect and Bruce Reichard of Red Lion, two sisters, Sheila Beaverson of Airville and Sue Reichard of Mainesville, OH. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark A. Kauffman and a brother, Jeffrey Reichard. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army, 50 E. King Street, York, Pa 17401.
