Daniel W. Wiley

YORK- Daniel W. Wiley, 81, of York, died Monday September 17, 2007 at ManorCare- Dallastown. A funeral tribute service will be 1pm, Friday, September 21, 2007 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Mr. Wiley's pastor, the Rev. Albert Davidson officiating. A viewing will be Thursday, September 20, 2007 6-8pm and again, Friday 12-1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Wiley was born October 20, 1925 in Lancaster, a son of the late Stuart A and May (Ritter) Wiley. He entered into the US Navy on July 29, 1943 and served our country during WWII. Mr. Wiley received Disabled Veteran War Medals, Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, and the WWII Victory Medal. Mr. Wiley was employed as a business agent for Roofers Local #207 until retirement in 1991 and worked in the local theater for over 50 years. He was a member of White Rose VFW Post 556, 9th Ward Social Club, 12th Ward Democratic Club, Roofers Local #207, and Stage Hands #283. Mr. Wiley was a member of Manor Baptist Church, York. Surviving, are his two sons, Daniel Wiley, Jr. and his wife Grace of York and David Wiley of Delta; a daughter, Tricia Williams of Dover; and eight grandchildren, Elwood Wiley, Elizabeth Brown, Trystan Williams, Alexia Williams, Talana Wiley, April Laughman, Jeff Kresch, Jr., and Susan Glass; nine great grandchildren, Daniel Brown, Mikka Brown, Evan Wiley, Tyler Wiley, Austin Kresch, Avery Laughman, Adyenh Spark, Jeffrey Kresch, III, and Joseph Kresch; a brother, George Wiley of Shiloh and sister, Gladys Hake of FL. Proceeding in death are Stuart Wiley, Jr., Iona Renecker, Mary Mummaw, Gertrude Frinnefrock, and Mildred White. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Manor Baptist Church- Food Bank, 806 W. Princess St., York, PA 17404.
