Daniel R. Wolf

WILLIAMSPORT - Daniel R. Wolf, 88, died, Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. He was born in New York City on May 27, 1922 to his beloved parents Joseph and Etta (Wolfson) Wolf. Dan served in the Army during the Korean War. Dan graduated from The Peddie School in New Jersey, Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and later from Columbia Teachers' College. He moved to Williamsport to teach at the former Williamsport Area Community College where he retired. He leaves behind loving friends and a supportive community. He was a member of Temple Beth Ha-Sholom. His family thanks those in Williamsport who helped him have a meaningful and long life. Two nieces Ellin Krinsly of Sydney, Australia and Joan K. Rosenthal of Washington, D.C. and his grand nieces and nephew Stephanie, Douglas and Carolyn, survive him. A sister, Charlotte Wolf Krinsly preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 2, 2011 at Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira Street, with Marvin Hurwitz officiating. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery.
