Daniel R. Hanrahan

WELLSBURG - Daniel R. Hanrahan, Age 62, of Stringham Road, Gillett, PA, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital. Daniel was born February 18, 1950 son of the late Roger & Mary E. (Fagan) Hanrahan. He was a graduate of S.R. U. High School in East Smithfield, PA and also attended Williamsport Community College. He and the former Constance “Connie” Lowman were married on August 12, 1972 and celebrated 40 years together. Daniel loved to play guitar and was a licensed Armature Radio (Ham) Operator. He was a parishioner of St. Ann’s and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Churches. His memberships include the Ridgebury Sportsman Club and he bowled for many years at the Elmira Bowling Center. Daniel was employed by Hardinge Brothers in Elmira, NY and was currently working as a Manager of the Elmira office of Zeller Corporation located in Rochester, NY. He is survived by his loving wife Connie (Lowman) Hanrahan of Gillett, his two daughters Heather Borden of Troy, PA, Desiree & Joseph Johnson of Gillett, a sister Mary & James Wood of Gillett, six grandchildren, Courtney Woodsworth, Michael Borden, Lindsey, Cody and Alyssa Johnston and Monica Baker, five nephews, three nieces and several grandnephews and grandnieces. Daniel was predeceased by his parents and a sister Patricia Neely. Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, July from 10 to 11 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Chapel Hill Road (State Route 4021) Gillett, PA. Funeral Mass will Celebrated at 11 AM with committal service to follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY.
