Daniel P. Fass

YORK - Daniel P. Fass, 85, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Henrietta P. (Schauer) Fass. The couple wed on June 16, 1951. Daniel was a beloved husband, father and grandfather for over 63 years. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born February 26, 1929 in Queens, New York, Daniel was a son of the late Jacob and Anna (Murphy) Fass. Mr. Fass worked as an engineer for the Grumman Corporation until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dallastown. Mr. Fass served our country in the United States Army in the Korean War. Daniel was a man of great physical stature but his heart was even bigger. He always put others before himself. He enjoyed golf, boating, camping, snowmobiling and vacationing, but most of all he took pleasure in his family. In addition to his wife, Mr. Fass leaves behind two sons, Daniel R. Fass of Holbrook, NY and Ken Fass and his wife Elaine of Dallastown; 10 grandchildren, Daniel, Dawn, Eric, Dana, Bryan, Andrew, Erin, Jackie, Kenny and Greg and 10 great grandchildren, Angel, Josie, Antonio, Tiffany, Emily, Amanda, Vincent, Alyssa, Dominique and Gianna.
