Daniel F. Spiese

YORK – Daniel F. Spiese, 85, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at Autumn House East. He was the husband of the late Kay F. (Husson) Spiese. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 13, 2022 at Springvale United Methodist Church, 265 Circle Drive, Red Lion with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM at the Church. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born June 24, 1936 in York, a son of the late Gordon W. and Martha A. (Burg) Spiese, he retired from Duplex Products, Inc. after 31 years of service and then continued to work as a delivery driver for Yoe Auto Parts for an additional 17 years. Mr. Spiese was a Charter Member of the Raiders Boosters of York where he faithfully rooted alongside his Oakland Raiders Football fan friends and was a life member at Prince Athletic Assoc. Mr. Spiese is survived by two daughters, Kim E. and husband Steven Dettinger of York and Tracey S. and husband Stephen Workinger of Little River, SC; three grandchildren, Derric and wife Jennifer Dettinger, Jonathan and wife Teresa Dettinger, and Victoria Workinger and fiancée Brad Duvall; six great grandchildren, Anna, Nora, Walker, Colette, Asher, and Tyler; and a sister, Gloria M. Stoutzeberger of Wrightsville.
