YORK- Daniel W. Carl, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, passed peacefully on August 31 2024, at Inners Creek Nursing Home in Dallastown. Born on March 23, 1954, in Johnstown, PA, Daniel lived a life rich with memories, laughter, and a deep passion for sports, especially that of Pittsburgh's teams and the York Revolution.

Daniel’s career was marked by dedication and hard work. He worked in retail at Hecht's/Macy's, eventually retiring from Bon Ton. Earlier in his professional life, he contributed his talents to Jostens Publishing in State College and York Graphics Services. His commitment to his work was an inspiration to many, reflecting his strong work ethic and loyalty.

He graduated from Johnstown Area Vocational Technical School and the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport. Daniel was not just defined by his career or educational pursuits; he was a passionate sports enthusiast. An avid fan of the York Revolution, he cherished his time as a season ticket holder and enjoyed being part of their dedicated fan club. His zest for life shone brightly during games, filling the air with his infectious enthusiasm. A die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Daniel created a bond with friends and family around the joys of watching and celebrating sports.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Heather, Kristy, and Emily Carl; grandchildren, Michael Carl, Tasha Morales, and Alesia "Rory" Vazquez; and great-grandchildren, Andre, Leilani, and Jasiah. He leaves his brother, Robert Carl and his wife Shirl, and sister, Debra Hicks, and her husband Tom. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Delmar and Iona Carl and his beloved granddaughter, Cynthia Morales, whose memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who love him.
