Dallas Vern Leonard

TROY- Dallas Vern Leonard, 69, of Clarks Summit, PA and formerly of Columbia Cross Roads, PA passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Commonwealth Hospice in Scranton, PA with his daughter, Pamela, by his side. The memorial graveside service to honor Dallas’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Glenwood Cemetery on East Main Street Troy, PA with Rev. Scott Loomer officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. Troy, PA. Dallas was born on March 23, 1944 in Richard City, TN, son of the late Kenneth (Pete) Vern and Rose (Lawhorne) Leonard. He was a Troy High School graduate, Class of 1962, and was a self-employed truck driver until his retirement in 1996. Dallas was Protestant by faith. Dallas is survived by his son Christopher (Heather) Leonard of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, his daughters; Brenda Matson of Monroeton, PA and Pamela (Patrick) Leonard-Shimo of Jermyn, PA, his grandchildren: Derek Matson, Ashley Leonard, Logan Wrisley, Jacob Leonard, and Adam Leonard, his great granddaughter Serenity Matson, his step grandchildren: Brandon, Christian and Jillian Shimo, along with his special cousin Jimmy Barnes of Tennessee.
