Dale S. Bartley, Sr.

JERSEY SHORE - Dale S. Bartley, Sr., 78, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at home. He was born August 5, 1934 in Butler, PA the son of the late Samuel and Annie (Whitmire) Bartley. Dale was married to the former Helen Jane Welch on June 1, 1957 they celebrated 55 years of marriage together. Dale worked at American Coloring Chemical for 25 years. Upon leaving American Coloring Chemical he started “Dale’s Electric” until his retirement. He was a member of American Legion Post #945. He was a Navy Veteran and served on the USS New Jersey. Dale was an avid hunter and fisherman he loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He loved keeping his family close. Dale was fun loving and the best sense of humor a man could ever have. He will be loved and missed by all. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters Dianne (David) Raudabaugh of Loganton and Kelly (Steven) Landis of Rauchtown. 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by a son Dale S. Bartley, Jr. in 2004 also a brother Leland Bartley and a sister Pauline Soule. There will be a private service at Dale’s request for the immediate family. Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall has charge of arrangements.
