Dale M. Corky" Brenneman

YORK- Dale M. "Corky" Brenneman, 85, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Anne E. (Goss) McKinley Brenneman to whom he was together with for 14 years and shared a year of marriage. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with his pastor Rev. Dennis A. Hummel officiating. A viewing will be held Saturday from 9-11:00AM at the funeral chapel. Entombment will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be provided at the funeral chapel by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born August 24, 1923 in York New Salem a son to the late Paul and Annie Brenneman. Mr. Brenneman retired in 1986 from Titus Cadillac, where he worked as a sales manager, however he was involved in auto sales for more than 40 years. He was also co-owner of Plaza Lanes and Lounge in Pottsville. A United States Navy veteran of World War II, he was also a member of Yorkshire United Methodist Church in York, a member of the PA Auto-Dealers Association, the Outdoor Country Club, and the Bowling Green Speedway Association. Additionally he was a member of the Hawks Club, the Donkey Club, the Shiloh American Legion Post, the Viking Athletic Association, and the Elks Club, and was a life member at both the West York VFW and the Victory Athletic Association. Mr. Brenneman is survived by a son, Terry L. and wife JoAnn Brenneman of York; two grandsons, Chris L. Brenneman of Gettysburg and Andy L. Brenneman of York; two great-granddaughters Madison A. and Kamryn E. Brenneman; two step-sons, Rodger E. and Michael A. Sanders both of York; two step- grandchildren, Candice C. and Michael C. Sanders both of York. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Lois E. (Jacoby) Brenneman to whom he was for 44 years.
