Cynthia M. (Lewis) Edwards

YORK- Cynthia M. (Lewis) Edwards, 65, died on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at her residence. She was the wife of William F. Edwards to whom she was married for 47 years.

A viewing will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York.

Born on August 18, 1957 in Savannah, GA, she was a daughter of Norma Mae Lewis of York and the late Edward Alan Yonker. Cynthia worked as a circulation manager at the York Newspaper Co.

Mrs. Edwards loved crocheting, puzzles and horror movies. She was also an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Baltimore Ravens.

Along with her husband, William, Cynthia is survived by her son, John Lynyrd Shelton of Texas; three daughters, Elizabeth Ahearn of Tennessee, Heather Edwards of York and Betty Edwards and her husband, Austin Keller of York; nine grandchildren including her close grandson, Dakota Densby; brother, Timothy Yonker of Leander, TX; sister Kimberly Lewis of Manor, TX; and nieces and nephews and their families, Austin Edwards, his daughter Haylee Edwards, Austin's girlfriend, Destiny Bryant and her mother Cardia Shaw, Marcos and Brandon Delagdo, Amber Edwards, Crystal Rector and her son, Bradford Bryan. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Yonker.
