Cynthia M. Calhoun

Renovo - Cynthia M. Calhoun, 45 of S. Renovo, died Monday, February 23, 2009 at her residence. When her tender heart stopped beating, her loved ones hearts broke. She was born May 12, 1963 in Fort Bragg, NC, daughter of George W. Pruett of Panama and the late Peggy (Harris) Pruett. She loved Jesus and watched Pastor Murry every morning at 5:00 A.M. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially when they would go shopping. She was an accomplished flower gardener, a cat lover, enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching NASCAR races, loved Elvis's 1968 comeback, and enjoyed the bears that sometimes frequented her back yard. Cynthia enjoyed watching the Guiding Light, General Hospital, and All of My Children. She loved cooking and watching her husband Bob in action when he watched the Price is Right. She always wanted to give everyone "Sugar." Cynthia is survived by her husband: Robert L. Calhoun whom she married in North Bend on December 19, 1993. Also surviving is her sister: Debora (Tony) Facendo of Johnsonville, NC, one niece, one nephew, three great-nieces and two great-nephews. A memorial service for Cynthia will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the North Bend United Methodist Church, with Rev. Robert Pickering officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials are requested to the SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Rd., Mill Hall and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
