Crystal Lynne Moyer

RED LION- Crystal Lynne (Tyson) Moyer, 61, passed away peacefully Monday, September 19, 2022 at York Hospital surrounded by family.

Crystal was born in York on April 19, 1961, a daughter of the late Walter Sterling Tyson, Sr. and Betty Romaine (Gilbert) Tyson. In her early years Crystal, or Chris as she was known to most, worked for Jedco Paper Corporation. While raising her children, Chris worked part-time for Education Connection in York then as a teller for Peoples Bank at the Cape Horn Branch. Chris also worked at Cape Horn Family restaurant as a manager.

Chris was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Red Lion. She enjoyed shopping, where she was always looking for a good deal, as well as going out for lunch. She loved spending time with her furry companion, Kasey. She welcomed and befriended anyone she met.

Crystal leaves a son, Kole Eric Moyer and his spouse Stacey of Ephrata; a daughter, Katie Elizabeth Moyer and her spouse Kurt of Dover; an "adopted" daughter, Lisa Scott and her husband Bryan; 16 grandchildren, Kurt, Sammi, Kessie, Gabbie (Katie), Bethani (Greg), Davelyn, Caden, Isabella, Lorelia, Brooklyn, Lydia, Jade, Trenton, Jett, Tabby, and Kaleb along with numerous other non-biological grandchildren, all whose lives she touched in a bright and loving way. She also leaves a brother, Walter Tyson, Jr. (Vicki); a nephew, John Tyson (Heidi) and their son, Wyatt; two nieces, Candy Frey (Wayne) and their children, Kylie and Jacob, and Kelli Kopp (Scott) and their children, Austin and Mason. She also leaves Kole and Katie’s father Kim Moyer and his wife Cindy and four grand animals, Kono, Reuben, Colt, and Sawyer.

To know Chris was to love her and be loved by her. If you knew her, you know how true this statement is. She welcomed anyone into her home and into her heart. As a transplant recipient, she was given so much, because of that gift she was always looking to give back. Because of this, the family asks in lieu of flowers memorial contributions, in her name, be made to Gift of Life @ www.donors1.org
