Cora Lewis (Garland) Johnson

YORK- Cora Lewis (Garland) Johnson, 91, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in York. She was the wife of the late Charles F. Johnson to whom she was married 53 years. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Born June 27, 1923 in Bakersville, North Carolina, Cora was a daughter of the late Doss and Pansey (Leatherman) Garland. She worked as a secretary for Charles F. Johnson, Inc. until she retired in 1989. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, Thomas G. Johnson and his companion Marcie Moore of Red Lion and David C. Johnson and his wife Beth of Westchester, PA; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Cora was preceded in death by a son, Philip S. Johnson. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to a charity of your choice.
