Connie R. Silar

WRIGHTSVILLE – Connie R. (Lighty) Silar, 70, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at her home. She was the wife of the late Gary Q. “Sac” Silar. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Pastor Terry Robinson officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Craley Cemetery. Born May 21, 1945 in Lower Windsor Twp., a daughter of the late John F. and Helen I. (Dellinger) Lighty, she had worked at Wilton Armetale, McCrory’s Distribution Co., and Gichner Shelter Systems. Connie enjoyed shopping, going to flea markets, and watching Days of Our Lives. Mrs. Silar is survived by a son, Toby L. Silar of Wrightsville; a daughter, Tammy J. Diehl of Wrightsville; three grandchildren, Harry J. and Bill L. Diehl and Nicole L. Silar; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Benjamin Lighty of Hellam and Brice Lighty of Texas; two sisters, Linda Abel of York and Glenda McCarty of Florida; and a sister in law, Daune Filmore of Red Lion.
