Connie R. Bortner

YORK- Connie R. (Knight) Bortner, 73, passed away on October 5, 2018 at her residence. She was the wife of Ronald S. Bortner to whom she was married to for 50 years. Born on November 7, 1944 in Hanover, she was the only daughter of the late William J. and Adele E. Grove. She grew up in Littlestown for most of her life. Mrs. Bortner worked for Gimbels in Park City for 10 years as the Women’s Department Manager. Aside from working, she enjoyed shopping for clothing and shoes. During her free time, she would read romantic, mystery novels. Despite her allergies, she loved to be with her cat, Misty. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to the York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
