Connie L. Rouscher

MANCHESTER- Connie L. (Green) Rouscher, 70, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Ralph E. Rouscher, Jr. The couple celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on February 27, 2023.

Mrs. Rouscher was born in York on May 17, 1952, a daughter of the late Vernon H. and Carrie E. (Einsig) Green. She worked for 34 years as the assistant chief cook for the York City School District. Connie loved many things; she was an avid baker, had a heart for gardening, Christmas and Easter were her favorite times of year, but most of all she loves spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at home and at the Beach. The Beach was Connie’s favorite place to be. She loved Fisher’s popcorn and Wockenfuss saltwater taffy, that was always her request when visiting Ocean City, MD.

Connie was the Matriarch of her family and the “glue” that held everyone together. She was the example of kindness, loyalty, compassion, and love that drives and will continue to drive her family. She was also feisty; she was never afraid to tell it like it is and her catch phrases were “What the Hun?” and “That’s fudded up!”. She was dearly loved and will be dearly missed, but she left her family with fond and fun memories.

The family would also like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, VNA’s, and Community Care Hospice team at Wellspan York Hospital for their outstanding care.

Along with her husband, Ralph, Connie leaves a daughter, Tammy Louise Reachard and her husband Gary of York; a son, Troy Allen Rouscher and his wife Danielle of York; three grandchildren, Danielle Renard and her Husband Paul, Madison Rouscher, and Calvin Reachard; and two great grandchildren, Shirley Renard and Paul Renard V, as well as her cherished extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas E. Green.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Church of the Open Door, 8 Carlisle Ct. York, PA 17408 in the Common Grounds. This is an open house style event.
