Connie E. (Pickett) Oberlander

YORK - Connie E. (Pickett) Oberlander, 91 of Windsor Township, died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Harvey C. Oberlander, to whom she was married for over 50 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Mrs. Oberlander was born in Huntingdon, PA on August 28, 1920, daughter of the late Harry F. and Gertrude Mae (Warsing) Pickett. Mrs. Oberlander was a 1937 Graduate of Huntingdon High School. She was an artist, homemaker, enjoyed traveling, and she and her husband worked their farm with mules. Mrs. Oberlander leaves two sons, John S. Oberlander of Red Lion and Christopher B. Oberlander of Hanover; a daughter, Lynn L. Worochock of Prescott, AZ; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
