Colleen R. Grove

YORK-Colleen Rose Terwilliger Grove died at York Hospital on the day of her 96th birthday, August 2, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Roy E. Grove, who died on November 6, 2020. They were married for 70 years. Colleen grew up in Dallastown and graduated from Dallastown High School. She and Roy met while both worked at Guy Hobbs Furniture in Red Lion. They married in 1950 and lived in Red Lion. Colleen was for many years a valued employee of Red Lion Area School District in the business office, where she made lifelong friends. She was a wonderful and adventurous cook, a talented seamstress, and loved waltzing with her husband when out with the Woozy Moose gang. Colleen is survived by her son Dennis and his wife Vicki, and her daughter Dianne and her husband Todd Leisey. Also, her grandchildren Jack Grove, Kristyn McCloud and Anne Beecher, her great grandchildren Hanna, Emma, Vanessa, Faith, Shabazz, Max and Charlie and her great great grandchildren Louren, Indigo and Snow. Mary Terwilliger, widow of Colleen’s brother Charles Terwilliger, also survives. Remembrance will be private. Colleen will be interred beside her husband.
