YORK- Colette Ann (Conley) Steiner, 78, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 at her residence. She was the wife of Edwin G. Steiner. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 17th. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. Pastor Frank Miller, Sr. will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery in York. Mrs. Steiner was born in Waverly, Iowa on March 19, 1938, the daughter of the late Clifford and Florence (Harris) Conley. She was a self employed artist and seamstress. She exhibited her art work at York Art Association, Millersville University, and in Port Colborne, Ontario. Mrs. Steiner was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Red Lion and was active in the work of the Holy Spirit for over 50 years. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Art and English from the University of Northern Iowa and had 50 additional credits from Millersville University. She enjoyed quilting, painting from all media, and was an expert cake decorator, especially proud of her wedding cakes. She was a child of God, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Steiner leaves two sons, Mark A. Steiner and his wife Dawn of Arkansas, Thomas J. Steiner and his wife Jodi of Milford; four daughters, Theresa M. Witzl and her husband John of New Jersey, Kelly M. Pohlmann and her husband Jeff of Iowa, Denise M. Ruiz and her companion Dave Murnane of York, and Anne M. Grady and her husband Bruce of Dallastown; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald and Richard Conley, both of Iowa; and a sister, Barbara Wagtskjold of Minnesota. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Renee M. Steiner at age 3, and a brother, Roger Conley. Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Fellowship Church, 10 Dairyland Square, Red Lion, PA 17356.
