Cody W. Mauzy

York—Cody W. Mauzy, 23, was called to Heaven by the Lord’s Angels on April 18, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service will be 5PM, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. A viewing will be held from 3-5PM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born May 27, 1993 in York, he was a son of Gary W. Mauzy and Stephanie A. Mauzy. He was employed with Matthews Casket Company in York. Cody has spent the last several years chasing his sobriety through rehabilitation. Cody is finally at peace within his heart and will be a wonderful angel in heaven, looking down on his family and friends and others who are fighting this battle, to give them the strength to have lasting sobriety. Cody was a wonderful, thoughtful devoted son and brother. He loved to play his drums, guitar and loved his music. He loved the outdoors, his passion was fishing and hunting. Cody’s passion for life will still live through everyone that knew him. He will be greatly missed. He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Gary W. Mauzy of York New Salem; his mother, Stephanie A. Mauzy of Spring Grove; older brother, Dustin W. Mauzy and his fiancé Rachael Focht of Norristown; twin brother, Chandler W. Mauzy of Dallastown and niece Myla Stephanie Jo Mauzy of Dallastown; paternal grandparents, Jack and Audrey Mauzy of York; maternal grandparents, George and Patricia Hunt of W. York; step mother, Denise Mauzy, step brother, Tyler Miller, step sister, Ashley Miller; aunt, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many others who loved him deeply. He was preceded in death by a cousin, Brandy Hufnagle and his great grandparents.
