Clyde C. Buzz" Robertson

York—Clyde C. "Buzz" Robertson, 90, died Monday, June 9, 2008 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. He was the husband of Edith L. (Steele) Robertson, to whom he was married for 68 years. A funeral service will be held 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, with his pastor, the Rev. Gordon Ross, officiating. A viewing will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in St. Paul's Church of Yellow Creek Cemetery, Hopewell, Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Mr. Robertson was born November 1, 1917 in Boynton, a son of the late William A. and Pearl E. (Deniker) Robertson. He was employed as a Coal Miner for several years and eventually became Union Cement Mason, retiring in 1970. A United States Army veteran of World War II, he was also a member of St. John's (Sadler's) Lutheran Church in Stewartstown, a life member of the Benevolent Order of Moose in Meyersdale and American Legion in Salisbury, he was also a member of the V.F.W. in Salisbury. In addition to his wife, Mr. Robertson is also survived by two sons, Richard L. Robertson and wife Gail of Abbottstown, and Don E. Robertson of York, three grandchildren, James Robertson and wife Mamie, Jerry Robertson, Dawn Sizer and husband David, four great-grandchildren, Adam and Christa Robertson and Connor and Logan Sizer, one brother, Edward A. Robertson of Meyersdale and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Fredrick W. Robertson.
