RENOVO - Clifford J. Fantaskey, age 71, died at Williamsport Hospital on Tuesday, July 13, 2010. He was born in Renovo on Sept. 30, 1938, a son of the late Paul J. and Genevieve (Crossley) Fantaskey. Cliff was Catholic by faith, worked as a foreman at the A.C. I. Co, and also worked at Berwick Forge, and Avis Homes, when it was called Capitol Industries. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, N.R.A., and the Western Clinton Co. Sportsman's Assoc. Cliff served his country in the U.S. Army and the National Guard from 1955 t0 1961. Surviving are his sons: Clifford "Butch" Fantaskey, Steve Fantaskey, and Jeff Fantaskey, all of Renovo, daughters: Heather (Tony) Skrypski of W. Reading and Stacie Alters of Jersey Shore, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers: Paul (Sharon) Fantaskey of Renovo and Kenny (Marlene) Fantaskey of Coudersport, sister: Pauline (Gene) McCauley of Swissdale and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial graveside services will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Hyner at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 17th with Fr. Richard Tomkosky officiating. Military services will be held at the graveside. Maxwell Funeral Home of Renovo is in charge of the arrangements.
