E. Berlin—Clifford B. King, Sr., 70, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at his residence in Paradise Township. He was the husband of Linda L. (Fair) King to whom he was married for 47 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York with the Rev. Larry J. Rickroad of Life and Praise Tabernacle in E. Berlin officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-11 AM, Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born February 21, 1943 in Silver Run, Maryland, he was a son of Audrey Marie (Shelton) King of Hanover and the late Roger H. King. He was employed with Voith Hydro, Inc., as a bending roll operator for many years until his retirement in 1999. After his retirement he worked as a driver for Leonhardt Manufacturing in Hanover for 5 years. A United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was also a life member of the Hanover V.F.W. and the Hanover AMVETS. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping and deer hunting. In addition to his wife, Mr. King is also survived by two sons, Clifford B. King, Jr., and Thomas L. King both of E. Berlin; three granddaughters, Rebecca, Audrey and Jenna King; two brothers, Gene King and Donald King both of Maryland; five sisters, Ruby Bussard of Maryland, Shirley Taylor of Hanover, Catherine Marshall of Kentucky, Linda Kessel of E. Berlin and Rita Crowl of McSherrystown and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Bernice Thoman. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
