Cleva Nora Eckenrode

WINDSOR- Cleva Nora (Blake) Eckenrode, 77, of Windsor Township, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Morris E. Eckenrode. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Pastor John Waltermyer will be officiating at the service. Burial will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Eckenrode was born in Spring Creek, WV on August 6, 1940, the daughter of the late Alpha H. and Dollie Odoran (Blankenship) Blake. She has owned and operated several small businesses in York County as well as being an excellent private duty care giver, which she also did for Visiting Angels. Mrs. Eckenrode enjoyed cooking, especially for family gatherings which were very important to her. Along with her family, her faith was of utmost importance and she enjoyed attending services when she was able. She was a kind and giving person. Mrs. Eckenrode leaves a son, Robert Eckenrode and his wife Holly of Mt. Wolf; a daughter, Teresa Wise and her husband Paul of York; four grandchildren, Nicki Barley and her husband Brent, Shanna Wise married to Matt Jacobson, Hali Eckenrode, and Rachel Eckenrode; and two great grandchildren, James and Bodie Barley. Also surviving are three brothers, David, Ellery, and Oliver Blake, a sister Dinah Blaney; as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell and Sydney Blake.
