(Zerman) Crawford. A private celebration of life service will be held at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born January 21, 1921 in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Robert G. and Bertha Mae (Paul) Crawford. He was employed for many years in the shipping and receiving department with New York Wire. A decorated United States Army veteran of World War II, he earned several citations and was awarded the Purple Heart. He enjoyed bowling, collecting stamps and baseball cards. Mr. Crawford is survived by one daughter, Donna M. Barbour, six grandchildren, Tammy Murphy, Barry Wagner, Yvette Beck, Eric Beck, Robert Wagner Jr., and Shawn Wagner, and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Ronald E. Crawford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assoc., 610 Community Way, Lancaster, Pa 17603.
