RED LION – Clarence C. Snyder, 97, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at his home. He was the husband of the late Dortha R. (Craley) Snyder and very dear friend of Loretta M. Sweitzer of Dallastown for the past 14 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 8, 2015 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 900 Pleasant Grove Rd., Red Lion with his pastor, The Rev. Samantha McElwee officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM Friday at the Church. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Born June 12, 1917 in Chanceford Twp., a son of the late William and Cora (Frey) Snyder, he was a lifelong dairy farmer. Clarence was a faithful member at Pleasant Grove U.M. Church. Mr. Snyder is survived by two sons, Richard A. and wife Edna Snyder of Red Lion and Bruce L. and wife Cindy Snyder of York; a daughter, Elaine M. Hibner of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Darren A. and Dwayne A. Snyder and Craig S. and Jonathan S. Hibner; five great grandchildren, Shania, Hunter, Destiny, Robert, and Ryan; and a brother, George Snyder of York. He was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove U.M. Church, c/o Barbara Clark, 546 Pleasant Grove Rd., Red Lion, PA 17356.
