Wellsburg, New York Clarence A. "Johnny" Stevens, Age 77 of Columbia Cross Roads, Springfield Township, PA passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Troy Hospital after being stricken at home on his tractor. Family and friends are invited to call Sunday, November 16, 2008 from 6 to 9 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY and again on Sunday, November 17, 2008 from 12:30 to 2:00 PM. Clarence's service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2:00 PM with Reverend Richard Noggle of the Troy United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Big Pond, PA. Clarence was born March 20, 1931 in Ridgebury Township son of the late Liel and Olive Ackerman Stevens. He was married to former Charlotte Parks and celebrated many wonderful years together. He dedicated his life to his farm, agriculture and caring for his animals. He was a former member of the Big Pond Lions Club, Grange and the Holstein Association His interests included tinkering and working on anything mechanical and driving his tractor. Survivors include his loving wife Charlotte Stevens of Columbia Cross Roads, sons and daughters-in-law, Duane C. & Peg Stevens of East Smithfield, PA, John M. & Cindy Stevens of East Smithfield, PA, Tim S. & Jackie Stevens of Montrose, PA, brothers, Liel & Betty Stevens, Jr. of Barton, NY, Purl & Judy Stevens of Waverly, NY, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
