Claire T. Frantz

POTTSVILLE- Claire T. Frantz, 96, resident of Luther Ridge, Pottsville, passed away Monday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center- South Jackson Street, Pottsville. Born in Shenandoah on March 2, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Wasilewski Gobrick. Claire was a member of St. Patrick Church, Pottsville. She volunteered for the American Red Cross, Hamburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene J. Frantz, who passed away in 1982; her 15 brothers and sisters, making her the last member of her immediate family. Claire is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Runkle, of Allentown and Christine Frantz, of Needham, MA; her two sons, Eugene G. Frantz, husband of Sheila, of Pottsville and Kenneth Frantz, husband of Erma, of Middletown, PA; her 6 Grandchildren; her 6 Great Grandchildren; her nieces, Deanne Sickle, wife of Dr. Edward Sickle, of Camp Hill, PA and Eugenia Hoerner, of Red Lion, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick's Church, 400 Mahantongo Street, Pottsville. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass at the church. Interment will be private in Annunciation Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Patrick's Church, 319 Mahantongo Street, Pottsville, PA 17901.
