Claire Marie Kattar

York – Claire Marie (Noble) Kattar, 87, passed away at York Hospital on Sunday, May 30, 2021. Claire was born on August 24, 1933 to the late James and Grace (Fichera) Noble in Lawrence, Massachusetts – but a small-town life wasn’t what fate had in store for Claire. As the wife of a United States Army Colonel, her travels would take her around the world - to destinations and experiences that many of us only ever dream of. Claire skied the Italian Alps, soaked up sun on the Spanish coast, hosted foreign dignitaries, and shook the hands of several US presidents – all while raising three children. After those children grew up, Claire settled into a much-deserved quiet life in Ipswich, Massachusetts, where she spent her days doing the things she loved – painting, spending time with friends, and driving through town with her convertible top down. She leaves behind a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly and cherish the memories of her resilience, independence, and strength. She is survived by her three children, Richard Kattar, Karen Kattar, and Debora Grant, her five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. CLICK HERE TO SEND FLOWERS
