Clair W. Cashner

Lock Haven - Clair W. "Chip" Cashner, 54 passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2008 after a well fought battle with cancer. Chip was a hard worker having 34 years at the Clinton County Surburban Water Authority. He participated in numerous pool and dart leagues. He took pride in his yard work and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Chip had the honor of being the first to be named commander of the Sons of the American Legion which he was so proud of. Chip is a beloved father and brother survived by daughters Jamie Riggle of New Jersey, Jennifer Cashner of Lock Haven, Melissa Cashner of Jersey Shore and Andrea Cashner of Avis. Sisters Sandy Metzger of Montoursville and Cindy Cashner of Linden and six grandchildren Dakota, Tori, Tristen, Trey, Emily and Tayton. The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 15, 2008 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Marian K. Anderson officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home 6:00- 8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. on Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
