YORK- Clair John Stough, 79, died on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Bernice M. (Ferree) Stough. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Pastor Lloyd Noaker officiating. A visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born on January 23, 1934 in York, he was a son of the late Charles N. and Anna M. (Miller) Stough. Clair attended York High School. Clair was a truck driver for R. J. Trucking, Inc. until his retirement. After retiring he drove for Agro Alliance. He also was a Rutter’s Milk Man at one time. Mr. Stough was a dirt track race car driver and competed locally for many years. He was a member of the York County Racing Association, Bowling Green Racing Association, York New Salem Lions Club and the Vikings Athletic Association. Along with his wife, Bernice, Clair is survived by four sons, Bradley Stough and his wife, Edwina of York, Jeffrey Stough of York, Scott Stough and his wife, Stacey of York and Kevin Stough and his wife, Deb of East Berlin; four daughters, Vicki Krenitsky and her husband, Joe of York, Beth Senft of York, Sharon Christinzio and her husband, Mike of Wilmington, DE and Darla Clark and her husband, Wes of Hanover; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Donald Stough of Shiloh; three sisters, Erma Hess and her husband, Dale of York, Shirley Senft and her husband, Charles of York and Sue Smallwood and her husband, Frank of York. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Dean Stough. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
