Clair E. Deller

YORK—Clair E. Deller, 87, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia H. (Bamberger) Deller to whom he was married for 37 years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00AM, Friday, August 23, 2024 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrant Allison R. Duke. A visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00AM, Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Dallastown Union Cemetery.

Born November 13, 1936 in Dallastown, he was the son of the late George V. and Catherine (Grove) Deller.

He was a proud and dedicated union truck driver for Teamsters Local 776 for over 40 years until his retirement. Shortly after retiring he began working with River’s Truck Center in Red Lion.

An avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, he was also a member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) and the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his wife, Clair is also survived by four children, Gregory E. Deller, Steven C. Deller, Brenda G. Deller and her husband, Andy Petron, and Brian K. Deller; one grandchild, Adam J. Linnert (Lydia); two sisters Monica F. Bowman and Rita M. Shirker and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
