MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP- Cindy Sue (Vandermark) Myers, 46, of York was called home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Hershey Medical Center, after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was the wife of Joseph M. Myers. The couple celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on February 13, 2010. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at City View Community Church, 1655 Roosevelt Ave. in York, with a viewing from 9:30-11 a.m. Her pastor, The Reverend Stephen J. Kurtz will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Cindy was born in York on December 5, 1964, a daughter of Clair E. Vandermark of York and the late Rose E. (Benedict) Vandermark. She worked for 25 years as a Kitchen Designer for Keener Kitchens in Red Lion. Cindy was a member of City View Community Church in York, where she was a Youth Leader and a member of National Kitchen and Bath Association. Cindy leaves a son, Douglas J. DJ Myers at home; a brother, Brian E. Vandermark of York; two sisters, Kim E. Bacon of Brogue and Tina A. Nevin of York; nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law, Richard E. Dick and Alice A. Myers, Sr. of York; and two brother-in-laws, Richard E. Rick Myers, Jr. of Windsor and Matthew W. Myers of York.
