DOVER- Christine (Brenner) Macdonald, 58, died on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the York Lutheran Home. She was the wife of Garen B. Macdonald. The couple wed on June 19, 1976. Born on August 13, 1955 in Phillipsburg, N.J. she was the daughter of Robert E. Brenner and the late Anne (Larson) Brenner. Chris graduated from Bennett College in 1976. Chris was a teacher’s aide for Northern High School District. Mrs. Macdonald loved animals of all sorts. The family owns and operates Crooked Rail Stables, in Dover. Chris was an active volunteer of barrel racing associations and was a huge fan of the NY Yankees and Syracuse. Most importantly, Chris was a loving mother and grandmother. Along with her husband, Garen , Chris is survived by two daughters, Jenah Edgcomb and her husband, Mat of Mechanicsburg and Kelli Macdonald and her boyfriend, Trevor Zortman of Dover; two grandchildren Sierra Weaver and Tegan Edgcomb; and one brother, Eric Brenner and his wife, Barbara of Atlanta, GA. Memorial contributions may be made to the loving animals at the SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail N., York, PA 17406. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.
