Christina (Boggs) Lewis

CHANCEFORD TWP.- Christina (Boggs) Lewis, of Felton, died Saturday, February 21, 2009 at her residence. She was the wife of Howard J. Lewis, Jr.. The couple celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in November 2008. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 1674 Furnace Rd. in Brogue. Her Pastor, The Reverend Peter M. Beddia will be officiating. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion and from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Mrs. Lewis was born in Renick, WV on July 26, 1933, the daughter of the late John & Nannie (Allen) Boggs. She retired as a custodian at the Red Lion School District where she enjoyed interacting with coaches and players of many different sports. Mrs. Lewis was a 1952 graduate of Renick High School in Renick, W.V. She was also a member of the New Bridgeville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary Club. Along with her husband, Mrs. Lewis leaves, a son John A. Lewis and his wife Denise, two daughters, Suzanne M. Sawor and her husband Jeff and Francine E. Rexroth and her husband Bill all of Felton; and five grandchildren, Josh, Alicia, Sonja, Jessica, and Kristan; and two great grandchildren, Sabrina and Jordan.
