Christian Michael Starr

DALLASTOWN- Christian “Chris” Michael Starr, 47, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at York Hospital. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 2PM on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 947 N. George Street, York, with Pastor Beth Schlegel officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, is in charge of arrangements. Born December 25, 1970 in Harrisburg, Chris was a son to Reverend Richard B. Starr of Dallastown and the late Carol J. (Clee) Starr. He was a graduate of Dallastown High School, Class of 1989. Chris was an active member of St. Peter’s in York. He was also a member of the Goodwill Fire Company #1, York Township, and York Township Station 19 for 24 years in the Fire Police Unit and helped with many fundraising activities. He was a friend to everyone he met, but his best friend was his father, whom he adored and shared many special breakfasts with at Lion’s Pride Restaurant. Chris was a loving, caring, and generous person with an infectious laugh and a smile that lit up the room. He had a love for life that could be felt by everyone around him. Chris will be truly missed by his family, friends, and community. In addition to his father, Richard, Christian is survived by his five siblings, Cindy Shomper and her husband John of DE, Kathy Molinaro and her husband Rich of TX, Bill Seeler and his wife Linda of Dallastown, Roy Starr and his wife Sandy of TX, and Ruth Morrison and her husband Clay of TX, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
