Chester R. Davis, Sr.

ETTERS – Chester R. Davis, Sr., 85, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Stephens) Davis to whom he was married for 63 years. Tribute services will be private. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born November 13, 1931 in Lemoyne, a son of the late George T. and Evelyn (Shuler) Davis, he was a 1949 graduate of New Cumberland High School. Mr. Davis worked for many years alongside his father in their masonry business, George T. Davis Masonry Contractors. He later retired from State of Pennsylvania. He was a member of New Cumberland United Methodist Church, New Cumberland VFW and American Legion, and enjoyed spending time at his hunting camp in Reedsville, PA. He was a veteran of the PA Air National Guard. In addition to his wife, Mr. Davis is survived by a son, Chester R. Davis, Jr. and wife, Margie of Camp Hill; two daughters, Michele M. Rokes of New Cumberland and Monica A. Davis and boyfriend Albert Stevens of York Haven; five grandchildren, Julie Fink, Chester R. Davis, III, Eugene Barnett, McCall Davis and Dakota Davis; and six great grandchildren.
