YORK- Chester C. Fake, 80, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Colonial Manor. He was the husband of the late Reiko (Endo) Fake. The couple wed on January 11, 1956. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. A viewing will be held from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mrs. Fake was born on January 15, 1930 in Red Lion, a son of the late Mason and Florence (Delle) Fake. He worked as a truck driver for PA & S Smalls until his retirement in 1992. Mr. Fake was a member of the VFW Post #556 where he served on the Board of Directors and the Pleasureville Legion. He enjoyed vacationing with his wife and loved history, especially the Battle of Gettysburg. Mr. Fake served our country for nine years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Fake is survived by four daughters, Norma J. Bair and her husband, W. Blake of Spring Grove, Linda A Hagens and her husband, Gregory of Dover, Deborah L. Wertz of York and Sandra L. Fake of York; eight grandchildren, Jaclyn, Matthew, Greg, Kayla, Candice, Christina, Ashley and Danielle; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Elwood Fake of York; four sisters, Patricia Spagnola of West York, Helen Harris of Omaha, NE, Dolores Landis of Dover, and Romaine Frey of West York; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Fake; and four sisters, Madeline Fake, Elenor Wolf, Margaret Boyd and Artenis Stover.
