Cheryl A. Braner

YORK - Cheryl A. (Beckley) Braner, 57, passed away at her home Monday, June 10, 2013. She was the wife of Fred “Fritz” Braner to whom she was married for 19 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 14, 2013, at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with the Reverend Laverne DiNino officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:00-10 AM prior to the service. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery. Born May 4, 1956 in York, she was a daughter of Anna Mae (Hoover) Beckley and the late James L. Beckley. Cheryl was a graduate of Red Lion High School in the class of 1974. Mrs. Braner worked as an office manager for 15 years to the late Dr. Henry Sagel, followed by 13 years to Dr. Julie Drolet. Mrs. Braner was a member of the VFW Post 7045 in Hellam. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed the beach as well as camping. Cheryl loved spending time with her dogs, especially Beamer and cherished her time spent with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband Fred, Cheryl is survived two sons, Gene “Harley” Grim III and his wife Stacy and Michael Stine Jr. and his wife Melody; four daughters, Melissa Gotwalt and her husband Dan, Jennifer Grove and her husband Eric, Elizabeth Oyler and her husband Matthew and Amanda Marowski and her husband Matthew; nine grandchildren; a brother James W. Beckley; two sisters, Carol Grove and Christine Miller; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 3417 Concord Rd. Suite C, York, PA 17402. Per requset of the family, casual attire is encouraged for celebration of life services.
