Chauncey B. Grove

EMIGSVILLE – Chauncey B. Grove, Jr., 98, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at SpiriTrust Lutheran The Village at Sprenkle Drive. He was the husband of the late Helen M. (Arney) Grove. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, October 11, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Monday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Born July 26, 1923 in Baltimore, a son of the late Imogene (Kunkle) and Chauncey B. Grove, Sr.; he was a carpenter with Local 191 Carpenter’s Union until his retirement in 1988. When he was able, Mr. Grove loved fishing, hunting, crabbing and gardening. He also enjoyed playing cards and making trips to the casino. Mr. Grove is survived by two sons, Robert S. and wife Belinda Grove of Lake Charles, LA and W. Dale and wife Paulette Grove of Manchester; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and a daughter-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” Grove of York. He was preceded in death by a son, J. Ron Grove and a grandson.
