Charlotte Yvonne (Fitzkee) Mundis

HELLAM-Charlotte Yvonne (Fitzkee) Mundis, 75 passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Manor Care Health Services Kingston Court in York. She was the wife of Jackie “Jack” Philip Mundis. The couple celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on November 22, 1958. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. There will be a viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Pastor Marion Haynes-Weller will be officiating at the service. Burial will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Mundis was born in York on October 18, 1939, the daughter of the late Oliver Warren and Edna Mae (Geesey) Fitzkee. She retired from Wal-Mart in York. Mrs. Mundis was a member of Kreutz Creek Presbyterian Church in Hellam. She was an avid bowler, a member of the 600 Club, and inducted into the York County Bowling Hall of Fame. Mrs. Mundis leaves two daughters, Deborah “Deb” Kay Horner of Red Lion and Stephanie Lee “Tess” Mundis of Denver, CO; two grandchildren, Michael James Horner and Kristina Marie Dietz; a great grandson, Dalton James Dietz; and a sister, Norma Jean Gohn. A brother, Glenn A. Fitzkee had preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924-N.
