Wellsburg, NY, Charlotte M. Stanton, age 91 of Vero Beach, FL formally of O'Gorman Street, Elmira, NY passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Brach, FL. Mrs. Stanton was born July 7, 1916 in AuSable Forks, NY the daughter of the late William and Hazel Cobb Thomas. She moved to Vero Beach in 2004 from Elmira. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards with he family members. Survivors include her daughter; Jean Wright of Vero Beach, FL, sister, Julia Thomas of AuSable Forks, NY, step-daughters, Janice Keller of Elmira, NY, Linda Wood of Wellsburg, NY, step-sons, Mervin Stanton of Wellsburg and Lynn Stanton of South Carolina, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several step grandchildren also survive. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband Jennings Bryon Stanton, son, Harold Bola, Jr., brothers, Tommy, William, John and Claude Thomas, sister, Sue Thomas, foster child, Mary Jane Cornell, step-daughter, Joyce Cain and step- son, Marvin Stanton. Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 PM Friday, July 27, 2007 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2 PM with Reverend James Carr officiating. Interment will follow in Ashland Cemetery, Wellsburg, NY.
