North Codorus Township- Charlotte A. (Vaughan) Stump, 49, of York died Sunday, November 15, 2009 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Dennis C. Stump. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. on Friday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and 9-10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. The Reverend Kevin E. Trout will be officiating the service. Burial will be in the family lot in St. Jacob's Union Cemetery in York New Salem. Mrs. Stump was born in San Antonio, TX on October 15, 1960, a daughter of Larry Vaughan of Elmira, W.V. and the late Eugenia (Sparkman) Vaughan. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse who worked for HealthSouth, Dr. Lebouitz, York County Nursing Home, and Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Room. Mrs. Stump graduated from New Freedom Christian School. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan and enjoyed caring for her horse, horseback riding, gardening, and caring for her grandchildren and pets. Mrs. Stump leaves a son, Scott W. Stump and his wife Brittany of York New Salem, two daughters, Valerie M. Choi and her husband Joseph of Lancaster, and Kayla L. Hess of York; two grandchildren, Rayna O. Hess and Levi Scott Garrett; a brother, Cliff E. Vaughan of Silver Lake, IN; and her mother-in-law, Glendora M. Stump of York. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Joseph C Stump. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society for FAP Research, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403 PA.
