Charlotte A. (Smith) Kochenour

Red Lion—Charlotte A. (Smith) Kochenour, 88, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Manor Care Health Services—Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Richard E. Kochenour. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30AM, Friday, December 30, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30AM at the funeral home. Burial will be private in St. John’s (Sadler’s) Lutheran Cemetery. Born January 16, 1928 in Shrewsbury, she was a daughter of the late Russell W. and Florence (Wagner) Smith. She was employed as a seamstress for several years in a local sewing factory and also operated her own beauty shop. She was a member of Dallastown American Legion Ladies Auxiliary for 44 years, loved bingo, playing cards, knitting and attended Christ Lutheran Church. Mrs. Kochenour is survived by one son, Kevin R. Kochenour and wife, B. Sue of Red Lion; one daughter, Sandra M. Tilton and her husband, Gary of Red Lion; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, Roland Smith and his wife, Ruth of Shrewsbury and William Smith and his companion, Ginny. She was preceded in death by a son, Gregory L. Kochenour and a sister, Phyllis K.
